I know that I’m seriously pushing the limits with this one but April came and went like a good weekend so I’m just happy I’m gettin’ it done! Haha!
Seriously though, my father-in-law had a few health issues that had us in the hospital for a few days, my parents made a surprise visit, and my in-laws house sold which had me helping move everything out for the closing two weeks later! The timing was terrible for the house to sell considering my father-in-law couldn’t lift anything heavier than 10 pounds but, in fairness, they never expected it to sell in three days. Homes near them usually take months. It was a tremendous blessing just at an awkward time.
Anyway, with the exception of feeling a bit scattered, I’ve had a great April! However, my blogging had taken a serious hit considering the surprising nature of the month. So, to pick things back up, I thought I would start with a fancy, shmancy list — just like the ones from January and the one from March. 🙂
Currently I am…
Thinking about re-grouping!
For reals! Even though April was a good month, I’m ready for a little more stability.
Enjoying the warmer weather!
I’m a proud cold-weather person but this winter was weird and (dare I say) miserable. I wore a t-shirt when I arrived at my in-laws to help them move only to have to slip on gloves two days later as we cleaned out their shed. IN THE SNOW! Although I’m happy when winter is here – I am so glad to see her leave.
Feeling excited about upcoming adventures!
At the end of May we get to see one of my oldest friends. Oldest not in years (she’s only a month younger than me!) but in the fact that we’ve been friends for a long time.
We’ve also been booking camping trips and discussing local adventures. We’re working on a tight budget until October so no adventure is going to be extravagant but that doesn’t mean they can’t be fun.
Wearing my hair in a ponytail.
Okay so I know this isn’t exactly what this spot is for but it’s my blog so I’ll do what I want! Haha!
Usually my hair is long-ish but every now and again I feel the urge to chop. Which is exactly what happened a year and half ago. I kept it short for a while but now I’m ready for my longer locks. And glory be, my hair is finally long enough for a pony! Woot! Woot!
Needing to purge my house.
This has seriously not changed since March. It still needs to be done. Seriously, someone send some motivation!
Wanting an I-Pad
This is completely ridiculous but whatever. As I’m growing as an artist, I would like to do more digitally. However, this one is going to have to wait a while. 🙂
Although I still try to read every day, I’m spending less time reading and more time doing other things. Like Pinterest. Sorry not sorry.
Listening to The Futility Closet
Podcasts are not really my thing. I’m just not into listening to people talk about whatever. Maybe it’s the introvert in me. However, I have found that I really enjoy The Futility Closet. It’s a collection of the “forgotten stories from the pages of history” and I love it. It makes me laugh aloud at times which has to surprise anyone who hears me when I’m listening as I walk. I’m always learning something new and I love being able to share the Lateral Thinking Puzzle over dinner.
Making plans for next week.
Simple, I know, but it’s where I am at. Every now and again I find the need to re-group and structure things a little more rigidly until things settle. It’s just who I am.
Eating not much
I forgot to tell you — I’ve also had food poisoning this month. Yeah, that was fun.
I’m two days out of the bathroom but my stomach still seems unsettled so I’m eating lightly and hoping to get back to normal for Cinco de Mayo!
Drinking a lot of water
See previous. Water is not my favorite so someimes I do add juice to the lineup but I’m trying to stay hydrated in this queasy state.
What’s happening in your life? Anything fun?
